new ichthyosaur discovered

Scientists have discovered a new ichthyosaur that lived in the early Cretaceous.

The Colombian tyrant had a meter long skull full of needle-like teeth.

Its unusually large teeth allowed it to eat large animals such as ammonites.

It prowled the seas exactly 130 million years ago.
